I sent my last newsletter from Atlanta while I was there for the Moonlight & Magnolias Conference, which a yearly conference for romance authors hosted by Georgia Romance Writers. GRW is such a wonderful group (Southern hospitality is totally real), and I had a fabulous time networking with other authors, reuniting with friends who live far away and learning a lot from the various workshops. The conference always culminates with the prestigious Maggie Awards for excellence in romance writing. This year, my book Fortune’s Lone Star Twins was nominated in the contemporary romance category. It was a huge honor, and I didn’t win, which was totally okay…I still got to wear a fancy new dress I’d had my eye on for YEARS and finally had the perfect occasion to look like a fairy princess. 👑🎀
Would it be weird if I wore it again this weekend when I go see the Taylor Swift Showgirl movie? 🫶🏻 Just kidding…probably.
